Albert Einstein

I have been beating myself up and down the roads for some years now.  My face twisted and body bent against the elements as I attempt to stay on the planned pace for that ride.  My preparation for each season has remained largely unchanged for some years and yet each year I hope to go better.   Occasionally I invest in a bit of bike ‘bling’ in the hope that maybe this year it will make all the difference! Recognize yourself yet?

So this year I have finally taken note of Albert Einstein and I have done something different.  I have taken out a package of coaching with Dig Deep Coaching and what a difference it has made already.  Each month I follow a plan that has allowed me to train much smarter than I did before.  My rides have varied immensely and the goals are very specific for each session which is not only hugely motivational but proving very beneficial by way of improvement.

In addition to the smarter way in which I train I have also complimented this with a nutrition plan from Dig Deep Coaching and regular sports testing.  For years I have eaten what I thought was a healthy diet but recently the ‘penny has dropped’ thanks to the informed advice from a qualified expert and I have adapted the way I eat to support my training.  I believe the potential for improvement is immense and I am really excited about the results.

Sports testing has taken the guess work out of working out how hard I should be training and with Stephen Gallagher reviewing my training files I have to be getting it spot on!  Stephen adjusts my levels as I progressively improve which is a fantastic support and allows me to train with complete confidence.

I have been training and racing for over 20 years, in both triathlon at international level and now cycling, but this is the best coaching package I have ever been associated with.  Even when I raced on the national triathlon squad I have never felt as well supported by such a team of experts as I do now.

I guess the proof of the pudding will be when I start to race this season but whatever way the results come out I know I have benefited greatly from  my association with Dig Deep Coaching and am really enjoying my cycling.  I would highly recommend Dig Deep Coaching to anyone who is wants to improve or at the very least try something different!
