madisongenesis.jpgWe at DigDeep Coaching are delighted to announce our coaching partnership with the UK’s newest and most exciting UCI team, Madison-Genesis.  Headed by Roger Hammond, who recently retired as a Professional Cyclist and known for being the UK’s leading classic rider of his generation with many years experience racing at the world’s highest level.

Madison-Genesis will take to the European Pro Circuit next week in Majorca and the team at DigDeep Coaching will be providing personalised coaching and sports science support to the riders during the 2013 season.  Training Peaks has also come on board as their training software provider allowing coaching staff and management to track daily rider’s progression and training.  A major tool and influence for our detailed and specific approach to training and nutrition.

With a wide mix of talent and experience within the Madison-Genesis team ranging from experienced pro’s such as Dean Downing to young promising riders such as Brennan Townshend and Sebastian Baylis you can see a perfect environment for young riders to grow and develop with a structured coaching network along with experienced riders and staff.

Manger of Madison-Genesis Roger Hammond explained his enthusiasm to have Dig Deep Coaching as part of the team’s development and growth:

‘We are delighted to have DigDeep Coaching part of our set up and I believe that the company’s ethos and professionalism mirrors that of our team. Having raced and competed with both Stephen Gallagher and Dan Fleeman in Europe and understanding their scientific and methodical approach to training, nutrition and the lifestyle needed to compete at the top level of the sport I was excited to have them assist our new emerging talent and provide the tools to bring results in 2013 for our riders.’

Team Madison-Genesis got the year off to the best possible start with Ian Bibby winning the London Bike Show Nocturne after their team launch.  We hope this success for the year continues and look forward to working with all the riders and staff at Madison-Genesis.
